Noni Turner
For many years Noni has explored her own journey both spiritually and psychologically. She has studied world religions, Buddhist meditation, astrology, the Symbolon cards, and has participated in an
assortment of physical and emotional therapies. She has created a series of CDs designed to help young children and teenagers go to sleep without anxiety. She continues to, and always will, explore the myriad of ways in which the human soul can grow. To help others develop self-knowledge, selfacceptance and inner peace is the most delightful way she can think of to earn a living.
The Ericksonian approach considers that trance, or hypnosis, is a natural everyday experience of focused awareness in which the functioning of the conscious mind is side-stepped. In hypnosis we can
learn and access inner resources to find the solution to our problem. The approach is both nonauthoritarian and indirect, the power for change always resting with the client. The therapist’s role is to create an internal experience which supports the client’s potential for change.
Ego State Therapy believes that, rather than being a homogenous whole, the psyche is made up of a number of different parts, or ego states. These states are neural pathways formed over time by repetition or created instantaneously by trauma. When we say to ourselves , eg.”I hate myself for smoking/eating too much/worrying constantly” we are describing ego states in conflict. Ego State Therapy helps resolve the inner struggle. One of the joys of working with Ego State Therapy is discovering the rich tapestry of the astonishingly different and often profound parts that make up the whole of the human psyche.
Psychological Astrology is another wonderful and fascinating tool for exploration and self-acceptance. It helps us reconcile conflicting parts of ourselves and in so doing, helps us embrace our full potential. It helps us clarify our direction in life. It lends meaning to those times in life that can appear meaningless. As Liz Green says: “We are all born with individual potentials, unique ways of responding to life, particular
abilities and talents, and particular conflicts. And these things we cannot change. But we can choose to live them creatively or destructively, blindly, or with a little bit of consciousness. The horoscope does not map out fate in terms of external events. What it describes is the essential human soul.”
Noni sees clients both individually and in workshops.
