Kinesiology at Autumn Retreat
Kinesiology provides a way of understanding ourselves and how we respond to the stresses and challenges of modern life. It focuses on our body's innate ability to heal itself. Muscle monitoring is used to detect where we may be stuck, the underlying cause of stress responses, and to discover the most appropriate methods of modifying these to bring our mind, body and emotions back into balance.
Kinesiology is great for:
- Overcoming allergies and digestive upsets
- Motivating you to lose weight
- relieving acute and chronic pain, migraines
- breaking cycles of depression and stress
- assisting children and their problems
- enhancing learning abilities
- curbing additions, phobias and anxiety
- treating hormone imbalances and infertility
- improving decision making and self esteem
- helping you with motivation to reach goals
.....and much more.....

Counselling Kinesiology
There is an initial “talking” phase where the client will identify and clarify an issue or goal they are experiencing presently. The next phase uses Kinesiology techniques to explore and de-stress the identified issues.
Through the use of muscle monitoring it is possible to identify emotions that may be hidden from the client’s conscious awareness. Often our patterns of response and behaviour have been laid down earlier in our life as a survival response to a new situation. Later, when we find ourselves in circumstances that register as being a similar situation, our programmed survival response automatically kicks in.
Kinesiology identifies the original stress source and de-stresses the system at this primitive survival level (the amygdala). Thus by defusing the automatic response of the fight-flight survival mechanism the individual may be freed up to react differently and make new choices.
