Do you want to be pain-free?

Ortho-Bionomy® is a unique system of natural health care that helps to break the cycle of pain without causing pain. Ortho-Bionomy® is different from many other techniques because it is subtle and gentle, focusing on the comfort of the body while it re-educates the muscles to create new postural habits. it is this subtlety that makes the results so profound and long-lasting; most people experience dramatic improvement and long-term pain relief after only 2 or 3 sessions. Ortho-Bionomy® encourages our body to take over the healing process for itself so you don't need months or years of ongoing treatment.

What is Ortho-Bionomy®?

Ortho-Bionomy® is a powerful, yet gentle, system of health care and self-education. Ortho-Bionomy® is safe, natural, painless and effective. Ortho-Bionomy® relieves musculoskeletal, joint and postural disorders.

Developed by a British/Canadian Osteopath in the 1970's, Ortho-Bionomy® is more widely-known throughout Europe and North America and is now spreading around Australia. It is highly effective for chronic stress and pain, acute injuries and problems associated with postural and structural imbalances. Your practitioner uses gentle movements and positioning of the body to facilitate the change of stress and pain patterns. A strong focus is placed on the comfort of the individual; no forceful manipulations or painful adjustments are used. Ortho-Bionomy® restores physical balance through structural alignment, increasing flexibility, improving circulation, and relaxing the entire body. It is safe for every member of the family, from babies to the elderly.

What happens in an Ortho-Bionomy® session?

Janine McCarthy, Registered Advanced Ortho-Bionomy® Practitioner, uses comfortable, noninvasive positioning to harness your body's self corrective reflexes. Tense muscles are gently engaged and released to realign and support your joints. This will encourage your body to self-correct and find its natural balance. Wear loose, comfortable clothing for maximum freedom of movement. The effects are achieved in just a few sessions and have lasting results. This means you'll feel better faster, get back to your daily routine quicker and still have money to spend.

Sessions are up to 1 hour long and clients remain fully clothed, so remember to wear loose, comfortable clothing for your session (no jeans or skirts please).

How many sessions will I need?

Most people need two or three sessions to achieve significant pain relief and postural re-education. Chronic conditions may require more sessions, however Janine will give you release positions and postural suggestions to use at home to help speed up your recovery and reduce the number of sessions you need.

Ortho-Bionomy is an ideal therapy to:

• Improve your recovery from an accident or injury

• Speed up your recovery from surgery or broken bones

• Diminish constant pain in your back, neck or shoulders (e.g. ‘frozen shoulder’)

• Help to restore your stiff, worn-out knees

• Improve your posture or other structural problems

• Help you bounce back after a muscle sprain or strain

• Enhance your recovery from stress or trauma

• Ease aches and pains in pregnant and post-natal women

• Improve menstrual cycles and hormone imbalance

For babies & children, Ortho-Bionomy helps to:

• Overcome sleeping and feeding problems

• Promote natural crawling and movement reflexes

• Improve settling and staying asleep

• Alleviate constant crying for no obvious reason

• Recover from colic and other digestive problems

• Balance movement from both sides of the body
